The Thunder Bay Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that two scholarships have been awarded to local graduating high school students pursuing further post-secondary education in Thunder Bay.
The Women in Trades Scholarship valued at $1,500 is sponsored by Itec and presented to a candidate pursuing paths into the skilled trades in Thunder Bay. Congratulations to Loralei Nickelsen of Westgate Collegiate & Vocational Institute who plans to pursue apprenticeship training for Autobody Technician.
In addition, a $1,000 scholarship sponsored by North Superior Workforce Planning Board is presented to a candidate pursuing post-secondary education in a business-related program in Thunder Bay. Congratulations to Teana Martins of St. Ignatius High School who will embark on Rennes BiM International Dual Degree program at Lakehead University in the Fall.
The Chamber’s Education, Training & Skills Development Taskforce is pleased to have supported many students in advancing their education and careers over the last 32 years. We wish Loralei & Teana every success in their future endeavors.
