Send a letter to Minister Piccini and local MPP's asking for an allocation of 3,000 Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program spots to help meet our labour shortages

Employers across Northern Ontario are experiencing a critical shortage of skilled workers due to an aging and declining workforce and low population growth.

Newcomers represent growth and innovation for our communities, however the vast majority of newcomers settle in the Greater Toronto Area. The recent success of the federal Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot demonstrate the effectiveness of allocation nomination spots to address labour shortages – we want the Ontario Government to learn from this success.

That’s why we are asking the Ontario Government to allocate 3,000 Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program spots to support the region’s economic growth and development.
