The Thunder Bay Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that two scholarships have been awarded to local graduating high school students pursuing further post-secondary education in Thunder Bay.
The Women in Trades Scholarship valued at $1,500 is presented to a candidate pursuing paths into the skilled trades in Thunder Bay sponsored by Itec 2000 Equipment Inc. Congratulations to Kaitlyn Buhler of St Ignatius High School who is attending the Confederation College Aviation Technician – Aircraft Maintenance program in the Fall.
In addition, a $1,000 scholarship is presented to a candidate pursuing further post-secondary education in a business-related program in Thunder Bay sponsored by North Superior Workforce Planning Board. Congratulations to Zoya Rehman of Superior Collegiate and Vocational Institute who joins the Business, Honours Bachelor of Commerce program at Lakehead University in the Fall.
The Chamber of Commerce scholarship is now in its 31st year. The Chamber’s Education, Training & Skills Development Taskforce is pleased to have supported many students over the years in advancing their education and careers.
